The dates that matter,
on the Hebrew Calendar.

The Hebrew Calendar app lets you save important personal events — yahrzeits, birthdays, anniversaries — and receive automatic yearly reminders on the correct Hebrew date, even when it falls on a different Gregorian date each year.

01 · The Events

Three types of dates. One reminder system.

Each event type behaves a little differently — but they all save by the original Hebrew date, and update automatically every year.

🕯️

Yahrzeit

The Hebrew date of a loved one's passing, with a reminder and a digital memorial candle.

Add Yahrzeit
🎂

Hebrew Birthday

Yearly reminder by the Hebrew birth date — not the Gregorian one.

Add Birthday
💍

Wedding Anniversary

Yearly reminder on the Hebrew date you got married.

Add Anniversary
02 · Adding an Event

Under a minute. Once and done.

Adding an event is a one-time process. The moment you save, the app handles the rest — calculating the Hebrew date, scheduling the yearly reminder, and showing it in your list.

  1. Open the app and go to More → Event list.
  2. Choose the event type using one of the three buttons at the top: Add Yahrzeit Add Birthday Add Anniversary
  3. Enter the event name and pick the Gregorian date of the original event. Only have the Hebrew date? Tap the "Don't know the Gregorian date? Convert" button at the bottom of the form.
  4. For yahrzeits — choose Before / After sunset, and set how many years ahead to calculate (default: 20).
  5. Tap Save. The app automatically calculates the corresponding Hebrew date and adds the event to your list.
Two extra options Include Hebrew dates — shows the Hebrew date next to the Gregorian one in the years list. Include Yizkor dates — adds reminders on the days when Yizkor (memorial prayer) is recited.

03 · The Reminder

The event joins the list. Everything else runs on its own.

After saving, the event appears in the list under the matching section — Yahrzeits, Birthdays, or Anniversaries. Tap it to see all upcoming years with the precise Hebrew date for each, and add it to your phone's calendar in one tap.

  • All upcoming years are pre-calculated by the Hebrew calendar
  • Add to your phone calendar in one tap — on the correct Hebrew date
  • Automatic push notification on the day of the event
  • For yahrzeit — a 🕯️ Light button appears right next to the event
04 · Remembering Together

For yahrzeit — a memorial candle you can share.

Next to every yahrzeit in the list, you'll see a 🕯️ Light button. Tap it once to light a virtual memorial candle that burns for 25 hours — and share it with family and friends, even when they're far away.

  • Virtual candle burns for 25 hours — like a real memorial candle
  • Share via WhatsApp, iMessage, or any other app
  • Family members can light alongside you and add a short memory
  • Push notification when someone joins — memory becomes a shared moment
